OVER FIFTY TRUE LIFE STORIES ABOUT THE CARE IN OUR HOSPITALS.
The Last Six Months is about my mother who went into hospital under the NHS for a routine hip operation. Her condition deteriorated soon after her operation so I started writing notes every day, and six months later I was still writing.
This is my mothers story, it had taken me three years going back on my notes filling in all the details. The pain, the laughs, the tears, the precious words spoken, and I captured it all.
Included in The Last Six Months are fifty more true life stories about the care of loved ones in hospital which have been kindly contributed by my readers. I want these stories to be brought to the public as poor care, and treatment is still happening in some of our hospitals today. These heartbreaking stories should never be yesterday's news.
I am one of many fighting for the right for people to be treated with respect, dignity and ultimate care within the NHS
Together we can make a difference.
